IT MATTERS HOW YOU DIE
I became a trained Death Doula from the International End-of-Life Doula Association in 2024. I was motivated by my own experience of witnessing numerous close friends’ sudden deaths filled with missed goodbyes, unspoken feelings, and hurried hospitalizations amidst sterile environments, and the profound grief of those left behind.
End-of-Life doulas provide compassionate guidance and support to hundreds of individuals nearing death and their families, utilizing the doula approach. This work has yielded countless beautiful, heartfelt, and even transformative experiences. It has also imparted a profound lesson: death is not truly an end, but rather a transition.
My goal is to hold space and empower as many people as possible to embrace this understanding and discover profound meaning as they prepare to release their physical form. My greatest passion combines my experience as a Death Doula with my documentary photography. It is my wish to give the gift of memories by documenting the immeasurable beauty of one’s life and the unspoken love turned to grief.
